My Role In Spite: Into The Deathless Lands
This was the 6th game project at TGA where we had the opportunity to make a Rougelike game.
My responsibility was rig for the main character and the run cycle animation. One of the challenges in this project was incorporating story elements into the main character’s design. This led to productive dialogue between me and the character artist to find solutions to the problems that arose. One such challenge was our desire to place a bird skull on her arm. To avoid awkward rotations and deformations, the best solution was to make the skull a separate object positioned close to the shoulder bone, preventing it from sharing ownership with other bones.
